Chambers D&I: European Pro Bono Seminar
Chambers D&I: European Pro Bono Seminar – Summary
Aligning with Chambers D&I’s ongoing research into pro bono in the legal profession, we are delighted to be partnering with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek on our inaugural pro bono summit. This summit highlights the great work of lawyers committed and determined to protecting human rights across the globe.
The seminar also forms part of the first ever European Pro Bono Week taking place from 4 to 8 November 2019 celebrating the role played by volunteer lawyers, all across Europe, in supporting civil society and those in need. During this exciting initiative, events will take place all across Europe – Paris, Kyiv, Dublin, Milan, Madrid, Lisbon, Frankfurt, Brussels, Warsaw – to highlight and promote pro bono culture. You can find more about this initiative here.
In our current political and social climate, we are becoming immune to seeing the most vulnerable communities living their lives in precarious and dangerous situations because of little or no access to legal advice. We have a duty to help and make a real difference. In this session, we will be sharing pro bono best practices for law firms as well as hearing NGO insights and case studies.
