Segun Osuntokun is the Managing Partner for BCLP’s London office and a Partner in the firm’s Litigation and Corporate Risk practice with over 23 years’ litigation and arbitration experience and expertise. Segun is head of the firm’s Africa Group and head of the firm’s energy disputes practice. Segun co-founded BCLP’s Social Inclusion & Ethnicity Group, a task force that is responsible for encouraging Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic aspiring lawyers to enter the legal profession, supporting their development and retention and fostering a positive culture for all colleagues to have open discussions about ethnicity and inclusion in the workplace.
Segun has spearheaded and supported a number of programmes specifically aimed at increasing the representation and improving the experience of Black lawyers, including BCLP’s award winning talent attraction initiative, Race for Change. Segun played an instrumental role in the creation of the UK Race Fairness Commitment, launched in July 2020. Segun has been recognised in the FT’s Empower Top 100 Ethnic Minorities Executives list, the Power List, the Lawyer Hot 100 and by the Black British Business Awards.
